The Industry-academic-government Interaction Plaza in Saitama Prefecture was established in 1988 to promote technology exchange more with industry, educational institutions and the administration in Saitama Prefecture.
Lectures and discussion about economic issues and latest technology issues, visitation and social events, and also study sessions have been held for young members, forging the future of their companies, for training the human resource development.
In addition, we support members from management aspects, to consult with banking institutions about management, or legal, and consult with advisors about obtaining ISO.
Currently, the members consist of 55 different entities in total, companies in Saitama, banking institutions, 6 different universities in Saitama, and Saitama Prefecture.

We started efforts as follows.

(1) Reinforcement of efforts on an environmental issue as a manufacturer
Implementing environmental issues by companies, such as WEEE/Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, and RoHS/Restriction on Hazardous Substances, along with them, Green Procurement Standards, and obtaining ISO 14001, are becoming more important these days.
Companies are strongly pushed for, not just the quality of products, but also its environment-friendly manufacturing processes. We think the time for companies to be assessed for corporate stance as a member of society, has finally arrived.
We, the Industry-academic-government Interaction Plaza, will collect, share and exchange information about environmental regulation and approaches by each company and implement, having the wind at our back with such a change of corporate environment, for our progress.

(2) Establishment of cooperative systems for receiving and placing order
For the time being assessed of corporate stance, we believe that trust and cooperation between companies will be more important, because there is a need for all the various companies to cooperate for manufacturing products under the same policy.
The member companies of the Industry-academic-government Interaction Plaza, are companies with high-level technology for supporting advanced technology of Japan. We will aim at establishing cooperative systems for receiving and placing orders, to share and implement the principle as a company considering global environment, and target at “making things” with consolidating and integrating high-level technology by each member company.
